Happy Birthday Dad

My Dad sent me several photos that were taken the evening of his party in Florida. Here's a nice one of Kathy and Dad.

What's new besides the house? Well, that's pretty much been the focus of the last week or so.

I did drop another size and go shopping for new clothes. That was pretty fun. OK, I did the Snoopy Dance in the fitting room.

Last week we celebrated our 25th anniversary on Nov. 3rd. Greg had a dozen long-stemmed roses delivered to me at work. They were just gorgeous and lasted over a week. We got all dressed up and went out for a fancy schmancy dinner. We had such a lovely evening. We talked a lot about what a great 25 years it has been, and all the ways we find each other completely wonderful.

Ok, like, Uncle Milty is 80 'n all, but what's this two birthday party business, anyway? Let's not go overboard, you want to leave some celebration for his next twenty. Besides, I can only imagine that Uncle Milty, the shy and reticent man that he is, is just sick and tired of all this attention. Leave the guy be, already!

I've been meaning to comment on the visit that Uncle Milty and Kathy payed me on their way from Vermont to Bob's, a while back. They drove to Albany and I met them at my painting studio. They were very gracious about my work, and then we went to a local joint for lunch. It was so much fun to hear about Uncle Milt's and Kathy's travels and adventures, what a life they lead. It was a short visit, but I've had so few opportunities to talk with Kathy and Uncle Milt as an adult and see them as real people rather than just relatives I say hello to on occasion at a funeral or something. I hope we can make it a regular thing.
