We spent the weekend painting in the dining room, front entryway and hallway. Joshua and Erin were kind enough to help. It's not finished but we're getting there. That's a job. Someone remind me why I didn't hire someone else to do this? Upside is that all the 70's beigey-brown is now GONE! Yay! It took me almost 20 years but I got rid of it.
My list is still not complete and I'm really looking forward to the day it is. I want to be done and return to doing some other things. I have a box of photos I need to place in albums to catch everything up-to-date. That's a fun project.

I finally brought the hoses in and shut the basement window. Record low temperatures expected tonight, down into the teens. We bought a new toasty comforter for our bed last week, and I finally (resisted as long as possible) got out the down Parka. The leaves on our Azalea bushes have curled into tight little tubes.
Along the edge of Stacy's family's farm property, the county cut down many trees to clear the shoulder of the road. I'm going to borrow the scary chain saw and try to cut some up for fire wood, maybe this week-end. Stacy's brother, Christian, said he would come along and give me a lesson in chain sawing.

Send greetings along to Lesley. It's been forever since I've seen her. Take some pictures together and post'em. Bring user name and password and blog from the road, why don't you. Somebody will have a computer. Have a great time away, you need it.
