On Mother's Day, Joshua gave me a card with a cryptic note inside. It said I would find out my gift on May 30th, that it was also from Jenny & Chris, and if I figured out the significance of that date, I would have a hint. Well, I never did figure out the signficance of May 30th, at least not the one he was getting at. He finally let on that it is exactly halfway between Mother's Day & Father's Day, so it was something for both Greg and me.
Joshua's going camping out of town this weekend so he came over tonight. He got his Dad to come inside from the backyard, got Jenny & Chris on the speaker phone and handed me a plain white envelope to open. Inside was a sheet of paper that said "Pack your bags, because you will be boarding the Monarch of the Seas, September 27-30." They are sending us on a 4-day cruise to Mexico. We were so stunned, we were speechless. Now I ask ya, are these kids something else or what??

How exciting is that? Good work Joshua and Jenny. Let this be a hint to all those children out there who, of course, should try to top this with even more fabulous gifts for their parents. Let the competition begin!

It means so much that my kids think that much of us. And they will always be "my babies". Didn't you meet either of them? They were at my nephew Mike's bar mitzvah, weren't you there? Jenny and I were at my niece Kim's wedding as well. Can't remember if you were there. I know Leslie was. Speaking of Leslie, aren't we going to hear from her? And how about Debbie?
