Update from Bakersfield

We are still waiting for the new wood to be delivered from the mill for our dining room floor. (It had to be specially milled to match the wood we already have.) The guy we're doing business with called this morning to apologize for the delay, although there's nothing he can do about it. I must admit I'm getting a bit antsy. Tired of living on sub-floor and we're holding off the other projects until this one is finished. He says they now say it will be shipped Monday. We shall see.

The weather here has been absolutely beautiful. High 70s-80 degrees is paradise around here. Breezes in the afternoon & evening. Cools off to mid 50s overnight; great sleeping weather with the window open. We're loving it.

We recently received the game "Cranium" as a gift. We've now played 2 times with Joshua & Erin and Greg's Mom, and wound up laughing ourselves silly. We love board games and have played a lot of Trivial Pursuit over the years...have several sets of the question cards. There are other games we like as well. Do any of you like board games and which ones?

Melanie,

Just visited the Cranium web site. Played for a moment or two. My anxiety level skyrocketed as with any board game that requires knowledge or being fast on my feet. Never really cared for games 'cause I usually lose. But, I have to admit, Cranium looks like fun.

Good luck with your floor. We had ours refinished a while back. Worth it.

OK, well, truth is, since we're all still getting the hang of the game, we suspended the use of the timer. And the idea of drawing something with your eyes closed for your team member to guess what it is...we amended that one too.
