They used to be called "tidal waves," and they seemed more myth than actual. Now the world suffers from a real Tsunami that will become mythic. The worst natural disaster in the history of mankind. A hundred thousand lives lost spread over ten countries. The majority of dead, children. Staggering.
Yes, each of us must do what we can, but, I'm sorry, this is a calamity so huge that the wealthiest nation the world has ever produced must suspend business as usual and rise up like a tidal wave to lead a relief effort like never seen before to rescue the victims and prevent the spread of disease.
