Family Reunion
Just a thought from the other side of the family. It might be nice to do what my Okie family has done for years and that is to have a family reunion once in awhile. We used to have one every summer so all the new members and older ones can meet. The size of your side of the family should make meeting new members a yearly event. It is hard sometimes for all to be there but it would be fun for most. The family is large and it is easy for some to be lost in the shuffle. If nothing else it could be a weekend of getting re-established with older cousins that we might not remember or recognize. Me I am the same, never change what is right. Trust me on that one. I am a guy, never lies.

A Rattet family reunion would be wonderful, Mitch. Any ideas about where and when this might happen? We should all put our heads together and come up with a plan.
Oklahoma is probably centrally located, don't ya think? Woohoo! Mitch has invited everyone over to his house for a party!
Seriously, a reunion is a great idea.
Greg & I just spent a fantastic week visiting my brother Bob, his wife Elaine, and son Mike. Their home is like a 5-star resort, and they are the most gracious hosts. We had such a great vacation.
My brother Mark's 3 kids were visiting my Dad and Kathy in Vermont the previous week. Bob & Elaine hosted a very fun BBQ/Swim Party at their home last Saturday which included Ken & Marie & family, Dad & Kathy, Mark's kids. It was a Labor Day/Ken's birthday celebration. Ken is now 55, "double nickles", and can get the senior discount at Denny's! Joshua brought Whitney for the weekend and she had the privilege of meeting a bit more than half of my immediate family, which is not a small group!
What about Branson? I know! But if you've never been how can you knock it? There are 3 outlet malls for you shopping freaks and shows for the ones that want to sit and relax (dinner theatre, comedy, musicals and Chinese acrobats). There are caves, Silver Dollar City, a water park and a ton of little museums.
We wouldn't have to all stay in the same hotel/resort cause there are so many and all are located w/in just miles of each other. We could set up daily activitie and/or meals at different places and we know to be at that location for our reunion stuff.
We could plan a full or half day's activities so each individual family can still do things they find enjoyable...like SHOPPING!
Branson has a lake too...so you can also stay at one of those resorts and lounge on the lake and do water sports...for those w/ kids or grandkids coming.
Plus, it's centrally located as Cousin Melanie mentioned about Dad's house...but let me tell ya, OKC doesn't have THAT much to offer. I can say that since Dad dragged me here back in 1978! But heck, can't beat the cost of living here!!!
For once, I think my OLD Daddy has a good idea!
