I've been out of high school 30 years this year. I've never attended a reunion. We moved to California for my senior year of high school and I was pretty unhappy about that. It was difficult to make friends and I really didn't make any connections at all, so I have no sentimental feelings about the high school I actually graduated from. The high school in Connecticut where all my friends graduated is the one I really have memories from, having gone to school with many of those people from 2nd-11th grade. I would have liked to go to those reunions but never was able to make the trip for those occasions.
Have any of you attended your high school reunions and if so, how did it go? Was it fun? Was it disappointing? Did you get to see people you hoped to see?

Melanie,
I've never been to a reunion (including family reunions, which I think there may have been some). Fascinating idea, seeing folks all adult and everything, that were just kids decades back. Could be grim, though, trying desperately to remember people one never met, and saying "hi" like old friends to people because they are acting like they knew you, in case they did. I have enough trouble trying to remember who I met last week.
