Stacy's mom, Yvonne, came yesterday morning to help us finish making curtains. Before she arrived, we figured out that we had made this task way too hard. Research had revealed that an appropriate length for curtains was to drop to the bottom of the window molding. This meant that the curtains we purchased were the correct length and needn't be hemmed at all. So, with Stacy and Yvonne sewing on the rings, my job was to race back to Boscov's to purchase three sets of curtains. At first I thought, great, I get to go out and about while those two sew. Wrong. Some special sales day at Boscov's. Not only did I have to park in the Sears overflow about a quarter of a mile away, but then I had to negotiate long lines of Boscov's shoppers waiting to play roulette, miniature golf, or bingo to win $10 coupons for, what, digital crockpots or countertop crabcake cookers or whatever (oops, my cynicism is showing). I managed to grab the last three packages of the curtains we need (phew) and got 20% off to boot.
Ben and Kaitlin, my son and his girlfriend, were off to the senior prom last night. I took pictures.
What did you do yesterday?
