Jake & Dulcie's Visit

My brother Mark's twins, Jake & Dulcie have visited us from Seattle every summer for the last 3 years. They were here for 10 days this month, and Jenny & Chris were able to be here for 4 of the days too. We all had a lot of fun being together, doing silly stuff and laughing a lot.

One of the highlights was on the 4th of July. We can see the display at the college stadium really well from our front yard so we set up chairs and enjoyed the view. We also made homemade ice cream and set off fireworks in the street.

We spent a lot of time swimming in the pool. Joshua's puppy, Belle loves the pool! One day the girls and I were floating on our princess rafts and Belle decided she wanted to be one of the princesses too. Here's Princess Belle & Princess Jenny.

Jake & Dulcie's birthday is July 20 so we had an early celebration. This is a picture of Whitney, Joshua, Dulcie & Jake.

I would feel the same way, Penny. I whine that Jenny & Chris are 450 miles away but that certainly puts it in a different perspective.

How was the trip north with your mom? How is she doing? Did she get the photos I sent her? I sent it to the Florida address in hopes it would arrive before you left. Give her a hug & kiss for me.

Penny that sounds ghastly. Did you hear the song "Dueling Banjoes"?

Penny, you get the gold star for the best blog comment this year - "Mom is here everything is good."

Melanie, your home is the definite "party zone". You guys are always having fun over there (except when you're having floors done). Wish we lived close enough to drop in every so often. Can a guy float around in a princess raft, too?

Scott,
We do have fun and love it when family visits. You would be welcome anytime! That goes for all family. And yes, a guy can float on the princess raft. We'd even give you a frozen something-or-other to sip on while you float.
