Hi all! Thought I'd update you on Georgie's progress. She's walking EVERYWHERE now. Follows me all over the place. And she's eating table food. She bypassed the baby food jars. Tried and tried and tried some more...and she'd have NONE of that. But give her Vienna sausages cut up and she'll CRAM those things into her mouth as fast as she possibly can! I don't know how anyone could eat those things...but Georgie devours them. She also likes diced (& peeled) Roma tomatoes (yuckers). I may not be the heathiest eater, but I'm trying to get her to eat healthy things now and hope that the habit sticks.
She also likes fish, Mexican food and anything that's spicy! You read right...the girl LOVES spicy foods. Went to a friend's house yesterday for a small get together/shower and she had spicy penne w/ shrimp...and I cut up the penne for her and she INHALED it. That's my girl! None of that bland stuff will do...hehehe.
She also has been going to daycare this week...Boo hoo!!!! I had her go for 1/2 days on Mon and Tues and started full days Wed-Fri. I figured I'd send her 1 week before I return to work so that we'd both have a week to get used to being separated. Monday, I thought I was gonna go completely out of my mind! I promised myself I wouldn't call and drive them nuts...and I didn't! But I made myself a complete and utter basket case the 4 hours she was there. Ate myself into a food coma! I had to take a nap for 1.5 hrs because I just couldn't stand it anymore. I was turning myself into a wreck...so to not think about it anymore, I took a nap. When I woke up, I went directly there and she was FINE...but you shoulda seen her little face LIGHT up when she saw her MaMa!!!! Each day is getting better and better...for both of us. She's eating for them now and playing w/ the other toddlers in her group. Takes long daily naps on her cot and just SMILES when she sees me at the end of the day.
Ahhhhhh....I sure do like being a Mommy...especially to my Georgie girl! If I can figure out how to post my fav pic of her, I will...otherwise, Scott, I'll send it to you to post.
Love to all!!!!

Oh my gosh Robyn, that child is absolutely adorable! I love hearing about everything that she's doing.
What hours do you work at the hospital? How many days a week?
I work M-F at the hospital from 0730-4p....BooHoo...
Yeah, I'm kinda partial to her...she's one adorable baby girl & I'm so very proud to say she's MY DAUGHTER!
Everyday is something new. The last couple of days she's really saying Buh Bye and waving her hand. As my Mom says: She's a copy machine!
One day Dad walked into the den and Georgie had visited him out in the main part of their house and followed him into the den where I was. Well, she cupped her hand and "picked" something up and put it in her mouth and was playing like she was eating. Well, Dad was sitting in his chair and I asked him if he ate something and he said yes. I asked was it peanuts? And with a bewildered look he said yes. I said: Wanna know how I know? Georgie told on you! And I told him what she did. We all had a big belly laugh on that one.
There's no crawling at all now. She's able to walk the distance of the house w/out falling and she can walk FAST now. It's still a little Frankensteinish, but much better balance now.
It's amazing...this little baby in June could only sit by herself @ 14.5 months! No crawling!!! In 3 mos time, she's "talking" and using 1 sign-language sign: more- tapping her little fists together, walking and using her mind to figure things out!
She likes toy cars...so I bought a package of 8 in a box. I gave it to her on the ride home and she tried so hard to get them out. She kept sticking her little arm down the box, but it was going behind the plastic. She'd turn it over w/ her arm inside and see the cars move, but not her hand. By the time we got home she had 1 car out and was trying to get the rest of them. Hehehe...
My baby girl's growing up...and she gives some of the sweetest kisses too! You ought to see Dad light up when she plants one on his lips! Proud G-daddy he is.
Love to all!
